Water walls

  

Okay, the wall of water seen below, and above, is not moving forward. It is pouring over the Sabinoanyon dam. Had we visited hours before, the water would have been three feet higher. I can't imagine. Somebody said it was going at 1,000 cubic feet per second yet today, and that was quite a rumble. Nothing like the Red River in spring, or Niagara Falls, but fun to watch given that the stream is usually running at less than a trickle. Here, the stream runs along side an enormous saguaro, probably more than thirty feet tall. You can bet the saguaro are storing up moisture for the dry months ahead.
